Re: ERMAHGERD

Well I sold my gaming PC some time ago so have been console gaming for the last few years. Also changed jobs which is keeping me mega busy and then lastly, but by no means lastly, I'm now a dad to a 3 month old boy called Oliver. Spare time for now is a thing if the past. Weirdly, a colleague sent m...

Re: Mobiles

I've read that article and it requires physical access to the device rather than remotely which means you have to have either lost it or had it stolen. As for BB's I'm not impressed with them at all, they dont offer as much as other smartphones in my opinion and the BB Bold is flakey and I've had 3 ...

Re: Mobiles

Good purchase there mate. Battery life can be annoying but if you're going to use every tool under the sun it's to be expected and all suffer similar issues. What I can tell you is the iPhone came top in a test of smartphones in their primary function I.e. Making voice calls, especially when switchi...

The main phones people I work for rave about (in no particfular order)

iPhone 3G S
HTC Magic
Nokia N97

There's a fair amount of buzz around the HTC Hero, although I dont know if that has actually been released yet.

Re: Proxy bypass

Honestly? Unless your IT department are clueless fuckwits or you know one well enough to leave your a door open there is nothing you can do. A webfilter alone these days does more than just block websites and port 80. Most of them will do application filtering and port filtering which will prevent a...

If you're considering virtualisation you should also look into VMWare's VDI.

Re: WINDOWS 7 PROS & CONS

Having just built my new media pc with the 64bit version of Windows 7 I'm really impressed with it so far. Will be installing steam and other games over the next couple of days and then I'll give it a go and let you know my thoughts. Windows 7 Media Centre is superb, I know that much already :D Edit...

The Seldom Seen Kid is an awesome album and well deserving of the Mercury Music Award. My personal fave is The Loneliness of the Tower Crane Driver.

Re: Vista Licenses/DVDs 32/64bit

No confusion here. You still cant do what you want to do. The CD Key for 32bit will only work for that OS and License type and vice versa with the 64bit. You cant seriously think M$ would allow you to get away with buying one version and then using another do you?

Re: Vista Licenses/DVDs 32/64bit

The Dell license key will, I expect, be specific to Dell equipment so probably not. OEM licenses, which are cheaper and therefore used by system builders, are tied to the machine for life and once that machine dies so does the license as its non-transferrable. If you have a copy of Vista that isnt O...
