the only change i would make mate are swap the Msi 5870 for one by Asus you get a longer warrenty and they are a bit more reliable. as for Hdd's i wouls go for a 60Gb Corsair SSD for the boot and any of the Seagate drives for storage as they are some of the most reliable on the market. thats the set...

sorry Doggy but i have to agree with gav here, at the moment ATI make the best GPU's, i was a Nvidia man all the way till i had to change my GPU in order to get the latest games to run on this old rig, and i was on a £150 budget also. after a bit of reserch i found the best card on the market for £1...

i would agree its your GPU, i had to change mine to get the game to run and i was running a much more powerfull 7950 GTO, i used to get blank screens and when the game did run i got terrible slowdown & framerate.

right i finally managed to get it fixed ! it turns out that some old monitors sometimes throw a spaz when hooked up to modern GPU's and its the refresh rate thats causing it and also steam cloud has something to do with it by automaticly transfering various setings, i had to do the following: 1. set...
