Re: Raspberry Pi - any experts out there?
Programming from scratch, and it needs to run fast, so it will need to be a compiled language rather than scripted, maybe C++ (QT5).

Raspberry Pi - any experts out there?
Have any of you guys had a go with a Raspberry Pi? I am "helping" a local school with a project to build a flying AUV's (quadcopter) using a Raspberry Pi and Arduino's to control it. I may have bitten off more than I can chew, especially when it comes to programming (Pascal was all the rag...

Feeling the heat
This global warming has a lot to answer for. My PC is running hotter than a barbeque - crashes after a few minutes of game play. My "study" is like a sauna, and my PC case is hot enough to fry bacon and eggs. Should be up and running by Friday though - I have some additional case fans on t...

Re: £1000 to spend
I'm using an OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, I think its fantastic and reasonably priced (got mine at overclockers.com). I'm not sure how they have a better write speed than most others, or even if its bull shit, but it made a massive difference to ancient rig. I have been building PC's for over 20 years and stuc...

Re: Welcome [OFc] Stan
Thanks Muddy, I don't know where you got the idea I m a brummy thoiugh. I did live in Wolverhamptom for 6 years, but I don't think I picked up much of the lingo. I actually hail from Newcastle, though I have lived in Lancashire for the last 12 years. When I have a few pints my accent gradually gets ...

Re: Weird computer problem.

Re: Bring a dead video card back to life!
Thanks for this tip, I used it myself this weekend on a BFG 8800 GTX.
I took off cooler and just put the card in, 200C 8 mins, fan on, middle shelf, no foil.
All the random lines have gone away and its working perfectly.

mic problem
Hi Guys,
I cant get my mic to work on CSS, the light comes on, but there is no-body in!
Its a USB mic, and it works fine on teamspeak, but I can't seem to get it to work on CSS voice.
Anyone hazzard a guess where I'm going wrong?
Cheers

downloading quake sounds
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me how to stop the quake sounds downloading everytime I join a map on the GG server, it takes ages?
I tried CrAp's suggestion of deleting all my quake sounds - it made no difference.
Thanks
