My! bullet, you have been having fun! I had something similar while waiting to go offshore, one of the other guys on the job had something wrong with his laptop. Could not get the task manager up. Even when it was fixed, some of the task manager panes were missing. Used Malwarebytes to remove it in the end. It was something similar but ca't remember the name, usual guff - you have a virus - but the thing had actually switched off the virus checker. Had to put AVG on it in the end because our corporate virus checker was totally borked. (note: I'm really going off CA antivirus - it's real leaky)

Have to say Comodo firewall, AVG free and spybot combo is great for protection and prevention on the cheap Well FREE hehe.

Just had a friends wife on the phone to me about loads of porn ads popping up on her laptop... I know she didn’t use it to look at said sites lol.

Very embarrassed husband there
