mic problem

Hi Guys,

I cant get my mic to work on CSS, the light comes on, but there is no-body in!
Its a USB mic, and it works fine on teamspeak, but I can't seem to get it to work on CSS voice.

Anyone hazzard a guess where I'm going wrong?

Cheers

Re: mic problem

USB mics can be a pain too. Maybe worth coughing up for a £5 analogue jobby.

did ya try to configure it on da control panel ?
Normally on css u just have to select your mic and it should work.

You can get digital jobbies?? Whoa, thats progress. I take it you have to eat micro chips?

The guys are right though - stick to analogue for Microphones.

Re: mic problem

I had a lot of problems getting my mic working with CSS even though it worked fine else where.
If you've got a sound card and/or on board sound with a mic port it might be causing CSS to try and use one of those instead.
I found it wasn't enough to just have the mic port I wanted to use set as default I had to disable any other mic/ line in ports in the windows sound options. You can do this seperate to disabling the sound device as a whole.

Give this a go if it doesn't work I may have more suggestions...

Re: mic problem

Oh with analogue mics its best to use the mic port in the back of computer not the patched port on front/top etc. Always have problems with the patched ones at work and home ;)
