Apparently he just bounced ahead of a group of guys standing around the FOB.
Massive fucking FAIL and I think it cost about 50M dollars. Really really stupid.

Apparently the maneuver is called "Return on target" where the first run on the building would have fired at the target, gone upwards, made a sharp turn and come back down ontop of the target again.

High altitude = less lift.Thats how your normal 35 person heavy lift chopper suddenly becomes a 15 person medium lift chopper.
