PC semi borked

My rig seems to be on the way out. I've found it a couple of mornings in a strange state - either dead (fans running, nobody home) or in a dos boot screen with a countdown before restarting which is not running. On reboot nothing happens. Fans start and that's it, disc drive light comes on for a few seconds but other than that , nada, no power to usb mouse, bleeps, nothing on screen. Was like this for a couple of days then it started working again. But this morning it is dead again. It went wrong once last week while I was using it, everything just froze, mouse not moving, keyboard eliciting no responce, on reboot it would not stat (see above).

I think it is almost certainly motherboard or CPU. And as I intend replacing both of them anyway (and ram) it does not really matter which is bust. Any suggestions on what I should be buying. I quite like the look of this:

That's a lot of cores for £175.

you could unplug all devices like discs and dvd-rom and start to pin down the part causing the trouble, maybe a single RAM or a connected device.
but if u anyway plan to replace it, the offer seams to be reasonable...
