Computer status upgraded to intermittently broken after i successfully fixed it until completely broken.
Installed windows on a newish ssd and have had regular BSODs since.
reseated all devices on mobo, cleared cmos, reinstalled windows, chkdicks, still bsod.
turns out OCZ ssds, especially the earlier ones, are shite. - do not buy.
Any recommendations for a new SSD?

I am using a mix of Samsung 840, Crucial m500s and Corsair 240Gbs and havent had issues yet.
Re: Avoid OCZ ssds
Schlack I dunno if you have purchased an ssd yet but Amazon dropped its price on the crucial 240GB M500 to 70 quid which is real good, not sure if translates to much of a saving in Euro but anyway I picked one up after running it through flubit.com for 62 quid.

If it doesn't work I blame the dumbass owner.
Re: Avoid OCZ ssds
so new SSD arrives, I go to install winders, bam bsod.
FUUUUUUUK
began testing for problems again. turns out it was a ram problem. I gradually reseated all 5 sticks, and after a bit of switching between slots its now working properly.
I don't understand it, I did the self same thing before and it didn't solve the problem.
I just don't bloody know.

Maybe schlack, now this is just an idea. And I realise it might delay things by a looong time.
But maybe you should try assembling it on the evening(s?) you're sober?
