L4D ping vs CS:S ping

tried tf2, apart from having a medium ping, played fine, so the problem appears to just be css based

I've not read any of these threads fully im posting so you can have a look.. a gem might be in there and a solution i have no idea

cheers lego. not really anything, mainly people moanint they cant get good ping on wireless. did have a look at my rates but that didn't work. i think im just going to have to re-install everything. may be offline for a few days(game wise) as i can always use the laptop for comms etc

Have you just tried the "Delete Local Content" from the steam games option tab... ( rather than just doing a complete wipe of steam ) and then re-downloading cs.... ? I really cant see what else it might be tbh. I know you have done a steam re-install, but rather than spend another 2 days trying to work it out, give this a try.

i'll download it tonight, i did last week as well before i re-installed steam, but i'll give it another go

re-installed css, didn't work-

im going to re install the whole pc, and see if that works. if not, i'm out of options, but its worth a try, as xfire has stopped working in game- i am assuming its all related
