Right .
I just bought a 30gb ssd and a 1tb hard drive
I have the OS installed on the ssd .
I know its possible to have the program files folder installed on D drive .
Is it possible to have a programs files folder on C and D drive with large seldom used programs installed on the D drive and regularly used programs on the C drive?

Most programs when installing will give you a choice of where to install. You just pick where you want it.

However - there are usually some common files (.dlls) that will be put in your C: drive anyway - not much you can do about that.

be carefull with this though as sometimes you can have a program that installs fine on the d drive but if say you want to update or change anything and that patch is set to look at the normal location on the c: then ya stuffed. doesnt happen often but i have seen it happen.

30gb is a lot of space for just software, id keep all my apps on the ssd (unless you really do have shite loads of programs to install) its usually the games that rape the space, xp , office and the little ones are ok, and css. its when you install those games that require 12gb that things get a bit crowded!

LOL - Slarys map directory alone is 12gig!

It's all those donkey porn mods for CSS that he uses. Why do you think he's always so happy to see you? (yes, you look like a donkey in suspenders to him!)
