New Mobile on a contract-VIRGIN

Ok,

So I want a Nokia n5800 on a contract with O2 or Orange. (Orange seems cheaper)

Consider a Samsung Tocco or similar. Want a Free Phone, or relatively cheap, on an 18 month contract or less. Pay around £25 a month or less.

Any suggestions? Is this the phone for me? (Really like the idea of touch screen) Or is there a very obvious alternative at the right price?

All help appreciated.

Da Gavac220 :)

*edit - oops forgot to say, 200mins+ calls would be fine, as would 300+ texts.

I have a Nokia 1600 at the moment... All the mod cons... Even a colour screen! :P I do also have a pda but i only use it for gps.

The reason i have the Nokia shite thing is because it survives being dropped, kicked, drowned ect.

If i were getting a contract i would get one with Orange... Always found them good but i don't know about signal in your area...

If you can hang on a wee while there are some awesome phones around the corner using Android and making the G1 look something like one of these:

Time was of the essence, so I opted for an Orange package, with the N5800 http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/ind ... ic-unboxed

Got 2 free magic no's (Free to call), and 25mb a day free surfing. 400mins and unlimited texts for £23.?? Seemed a good deal so I'll post a wee review on Friday. Tell ya if I've been stitched up, or got some decent tech.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Re: New Mobile on a contract-VIRGIN

I upgraded to the 5800 a few weeks ago - on T mobile, and thanks to Xionic I got half price line rental for as long as I'm with them. It's a cool phone although I've barely used most of the features - theres so much there, and I haven't had the time yet. GPS is pretty cool with the maps app but you have to pay extra to get SatNav functions. I'm also waiting for nokia to release N gage for it - rumours are it will happen. It hanldes music fairly well although the bundled headphones are useless. Not impressed by the nokia music software though, compared with itunes which I no longer use since I sold my ipod. Need to find an alternative for that.

A big improvement all round over my old SE K800i

Music update Jack = http://nexus404.com/Blog/2009/03/30/nok ... -features/

Sat Nav for free = SmartComGPS v. 1.56 = http://mosh.nokia.com/content/630EFFF0D ... 0A44301070

Not tested either, as phone arrives Monday, but I was doing some homework, and came accross these. Hope they help.
