What monitor do you use?

Hi,

Living in the land of cheese and chocolate I had to leave my main PC/Monitor at home and when I moved here bought a nice PC but a basic 22" monitor. I was wondering what monitor you guys use?

I'm primarily interested in the size, I'm looking at a 27" but I am thinking it may be a bit big!

Two x LG 22" L227 @ 3360x1050

Personally, I find anything bigger than 24" too big and waste of money.

How can you find anything bigger than 22" too big when you have >44" of monitor? ;)
I have a single 19" LG Flatron M1917TM it's fine for me, although I will upgrade to a 22/24" widescreen one when I have the cash.

Don't get too smart! :) I would manage even three of them - services monitoring on the left, main screen in the middle and mail/IM/TV on the right. Bigger means running bigger resolutions for games - can your PC cope with it? :)

More importantly, does having a better reso make you a better player?

Get back down the bottom of the scoreboard you scrub!

I use a 19" ViewSonic Monitor which i've had for years now and seems to be on it's last legs. Would like to get a bigger screen when the old girl finally dies!! Is it worth getting a wide screen Monitor? Is there a big difference?

Re: What monitor do you use?

i use a 30" HP LP3065 and after using it for a few years now there is no way on earth i would ever use anything smaller now, for multitasking its the dogs cock and gaming is sheer heaven ! :D the only problen is you need a monster GPU to drive the thing to get the best out of its whopping 2560 x 1600 resolution ! 8O it was hoorin pricey when i bought it but i think you can get them for under £900 these days

Re: What monitor do you use?

This is what i'm thinking of getting:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-M2794D-27-in ... B001H2K25S

It is actually only £280 here in Switzerland, they've obviously sold alot of chocolate so can afford to sell it cheaper than Amazon!

Before most of you start moaning about how its a TV too therefore doesn't use 16:10 and it's not a "pure" monitor, this would fill several gaps and allow me to plug my 360 in easily without the need of several adapters (mainly for sound) to use a standard PC monitor as it is at the moment!
