Man from Earth, I saw it yesterday for the second time it's a good movie, could have used some better actors but the story it self is really good.

Saw James Cameron's Avatar last week, it's a really good movie. If you haven't seen it, you should!

This week I've watched:

The Road
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/
A good post-apocalyptic film but incredibly depressing. If you've read the book you'll know what to expect.

The Book of Eli
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1037705/
Another post-apocalyptic film. Very good, well worth a watch. Brilliantly shot but did leave me feeling there was supposed to be some message in there that I’d missed. One to think about after.

Daybreakers
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433362/
An interesting take on the whole vampire thing but very badly directed and seems to drag on a bit.

District 9.

Great idea, and story line, but woefully filmed and acted. Yes, it was meant to look documentative, but that was just no excuse. This had a world of possibilities that were never realised.. The setting, in South Africa, was a brilliant choice as it focuses on human prejudices and ability to alienate (excuse pun) people who are different.

Directed by guy ritchie , has all the action and pace of his usual films but its rated pg13 so its one for all the family , quite enjoyable .

I thought district 9 was quite refreshing with South Africa a rarely chosen setting and the stroy was unusaul aswell , not another story about americans saving the world (ie. America) .I'll ignore gav's comments about the acting as the only experience he has concisted of hip gyrations and shouting "Take it like a man!" and "I'm coming!" at the appropriate moments.

district 9 really worked for me apart from the "action" ending.

disjointed acting and docu style suited it very well.

Kick-Ass

Saw this at the cinema recently... very good. Possibly the best comic book movie there is!

clash of the titans ( remake )

just don't do it ...it is awful, for those that remember the fantastic original....well the yanks have taken it chewed it and spewed it into this (lets totally change the story ) remake.
So I say wait and watch it for free, as £10 was really wasted on it at the cinema.

O please stop remaking good films America

Iron Man 2

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1228705/

Another very entertaining film. It's gets a little silly in the middle and is maybe a bit light on the action but it makes up for it with an awesome, if brief, battle at the end.

Basically if you liked the first one you like this one.
