Spending most of this morning getting aquianted with this delightful piece of malware which has infected a family members PC .
The infection was either by email or drive by download . http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-interne ... -2010.html
Helpfully it disables task manager , regedit , system restore , safe mode and good knows what else.
Been trying various different methods and programs all morning without much success .(Hijack this , rkill , sdfix , malwarebytes , adaware ,regscrubxp)
(some of these may have been updated to detect internet security 2010 but I'm reluctant to connect the infected pc to the internet)
Running http://www.superantispyware.com/ which sounds like a makey uppy name but is detecting the problems .
Keeping my fingers crossed

Malwarebytes didn't detect it for me , and either there was some other spyware/malware bundled with it or its a new variant but I couldn't access task manager , regedit and numerous other things and also I couldn't start in safe mode .Super anti spyware found and removed it but that brought its own problems as seemingly it infects areas to do with windows logon so when I restarted I was brought to the login window and when I logged it it logged me straight out again .Tried numerous ways to fix it (bart-pe ,reinstalling files , changing registry files) till I got pissed of , installed windows on a second drive and recovered what was needed from thr first and formatted it.

there is a similar thing that norton does as well (an annoying popup rather than malware as such)
