Re: PS 4

I think it's interesting, and a good idea for them to move consoles closer to PCs in terms of hardware. The only problem is that even though it looks reasonably solid now, even by release day the cost of the equivalent PC parts will have come down enough that it's starting to look less appealing for the price.

Until consoles can be easily opened and have parts replaced/upgraded, it's always going to be apples and oranges to PCs. I just overclocked my CPU from 3.6ghz to 4.6 ( ) which is just one reason why closed systems like consoles will always be left behind.

Plus.... keyboard and mouse....

Re: PS 4

thing is though that game developers will aim towards the next gen console specs, leaving expensive rigs laregly useless other than for bragging rights.

Skyrim for instance was severly restricted to cater for last gen consoles, only later providing for the PC master race. many other developers wouldnt even bother.

Re: PS 4

I hate the fucking console-world!

They destroy the fantastic keyboard use in pc-games for a compatible mode for console. In Assassian Creed 3 you can use only a few keys and you have to open a menu to switch a weapon. That's bullshit. I hope the gamingconsoles will die soon :)

In your Link they don't calculate stuff like a cooling system, case, blue ray etc for the price comparison. I think you have to pay more for a pc as for a Playstation if you want the same performance at the release date. But after a few month you can upgrade your pc.

A Console is the same like the apple world. Its a closed world and everything works inside but you can't upgrade your system.
If you buy a PS4, every PS4 Game will work there. If you buy a PC it could be possible that you cant play a game in the future. But then you can do it like a boss and you can upgrade your system for less money and everything is fine aa)

And for your system Nem: Maybe think about a SSD. They are going cheaper and cheaper. You can buy a 256 GB for ~130 Euro.
"laptop style tracking pad" ??? You mean a touchpad?

You see, my english is really bad. Pls feel free to send me the correct version of my sentences via pm :D

You might think about an ssd drive. I have myself a 150 GO drive + 1To hard drive with Win7 only on the SSD. All applications and data on the SSD and working very nice. Also the experts can confirm but i think you PSU might be a bit too low for the CPU and Graphic Card ?
